About our home Town - Carrickfergus ;

Carrickfergus is on the County Antrim coast, on the shore of Belfast lough and can boast Northern Ireland's premier Norman site, Carrickfergus castle. Regular medieval pageants are held in the castle when visitors are encouraged to dress up in period costume. The town walls of Carrickfergus are the oldest and largest defence system in Ulster. Built between 1608 and 1618, remains of the walls can still be seen at points throughout the town. Carrickfergus harbour is where William III landed before marching south to the battle of the Boyne in 1690. As well as the old harbour, there is a modern marina which can berth more than 300 vessels.
